As we tell all of our clients, the foot is the first and last point of contact with the ground when you are running or walking, so for example if you have a pain in your back then it will affect the way your foot functions. If you have a pain in your big toe such as Hallux Limitus (loss of total range of movement in the great toe due to arthritic changes) it has been directly linked to lower back pain.
